Water damage work in West Palm Beach is different than anywhere else in Florida. The humidity never quits, the afternoon storms roll in fast, and the groundwater table sits high enough that a small leak can turn into a persistent problem inside a week. Our crew was built for this climate. Every technician who walks through your door lives in Palm Beach County, knows these neighborhoods, and understands how fast moisture moves through a slab-on-grade home in July. What unites us is simple: we find the tide mark, we dry past it, and we leave your home cleaner than we found it.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Rick Sumner, Owner
Rick started with Tidemark in 2006 and has spent nearly two decades crawling under West Palm Beach homes, pulling baseboards, and reading moisture meters. He holds IICRC certification in water damage restoration and has run hundreds of jobs from the first emergency call to the final walkthrough. Rick is the one who signs off on the written price before any work starts, and he is the one who checks the photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves. He will tell you straight that a tide mark is the line water leaves on a wall, and that finding it early is the difference between a three-day dry-out and a full rebuild. When he is not on a job site, he is usually at a youth baseball field in Royal Palm Beach, muttering about the outfield drainage.
Maria D., Lead Water Technician
Maria has been with our West Palm Beach crew for eleven years and runs most of the large-loss water jobs in the county. She is IICRC-certified in applied structural drying and knows the Dri-Eaz and Phoenix equipment better than anyone on the team. If your living room took on two inches of water from a blown supply line, Maria is likely the first technician through the door, moisture meter in hand, mapping the affected rooms before any equipment gets placed. She has a habit of labeling every air mover with the room it belongs to and the hour it was set, which drives the rest of the crew crazy but keeps every dry-out on schedule. Maria grew up in Lake Worth and still refuses to call it anything other than Lake Worth.
James T., Mold Remediation Specialist
James handles the jobs that make other technicians flinch: tight attics, sealed crawlspaces, and mold that has been hiding behind vinyl wallpaper for a year. He is certified through the RIA in mold remediation and has spent nine years learning how South Florida’s wet season creates conditions that mold loves. James is the one who will ask before he moves anything in your closet and will explain exactly why a particular section of drywall has to come out rather than be cleaned. He sets up containment with the care of a man who knows your family will be sleeping in the next room that night. Off the clock, James fishes off the Lake Worth Pier and will talk your ear off about snook season if you let him.
Lena P., Service Coordinator
Lena is the voice on the phone at 2:00 a.m. when a water heater lets go and you are standing in an inch of water with no idea who to call. She has been with Tidemark’s West Palm Beach office for six years and keeps the dispatch board running through storms, holidays, and the chaos of hurricane season. Lena knows every technician’s location, every piece of equipment in the warehouse, and which job in West Palm Beach needs a second extractor before noon. She is the one who makes sure the written price gets to you before anyone starts work and that the photo of the clean-up gets sent before the crew pulls away. Lena is background-checked, uniformed on the rare days she leaves the office, and fluent in Spanish, which helps more than a few families in our neighborhood.
One Standard, Every Job
Every technician who carries a Tidemark badge in West Palm Beach works to the same standard, and it is not a slogan on a truck. Shoe covers go on at the door. Drop cloths cover the floor before the first piece of equipment comes in. The written price is delivered before any work starts, no exceptions, no surprises on the final invoice. Equipment from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry is maintained and tested so it performs when a home in West Palm Beach needs it. And before the crew leaves, a photo of the clean-up is taken and shared, so you see exactly what was done and how it was left. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs every one of those steps. If the restoration is not done right, we make it right. That is the whole job.
Call (728) 231-8456 to talk to Lena, get a straight answer about what is happening in your home, and get a real person on the line any hour of the day.
